Zlatomir Fung and Friends
Experience the cello in all its glory as Zlatomir Fung is joined by friends for a multi-faceted concert. The evening begins with the rare and beautiful sound of two cellos weaving through a Baroque masterpiece. The program then expands into the lush, romantic world of a four-cello quartet before culminating in a powerful concerto performance where Fung takes center stage, backed by the ACMC All-Star Chamber Orchestra. It’s a celebration of collaboration and the cello’s magnificent voice.
McGill International String Quartet Academy Concert
The McGill International String Quartet Academy (MISQA) was created in 2010, with its first edition running from August 15 through 26. The aim of the Academy is to invite in Montreal world-renowned professors who are, or have been, members of the most prestigious string quartets in the last forty years, to teach and share their experience with exceptional young string quartets from different countries. These quartets are all ensembles who also have been selected to participate in the most prestigious international string quartet competitions. The Academy also welcomes younger quartets, ensembles that aspire to follow in their colleagues’ footsteps.

Wigner Medal Conference
The purpose of the Wigner Medal shall be to recognize outstanding contributions to the understanding of physics and chemistry through precise mathematical tools in the spirit of Eugene Wigner. Soha will be performing at the awards ceremony.
Juilliard String Quartet Seminar Recital
A program featuring the talent of string quartets participating in the annual Juilliard String Quartet Seminar.
This week-long seminar is dedicated to nurturing the artistic growth of preformed, preprofessional string quartets. Through intensive coaching and mentorship by members of the Juilliard String Quartet and other distinguished musicians, these ensembles refine their craft, explore the depths of the quartet repertoire, and develop their unique musical voices.
